11th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency

The 11th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency is the International Energy Agency's flagship high-level forum on efficiency policy and deployment, held June 29–30, 2026 in Montreal, Canada. Co-hosted by the IEA and the Government of Canada, with Hydro-Québec as a partner, the event marks the first North American edition of the series and is expected to convene more than 600 invitation-only participants — including energy and climate ministers, utility CEOs, senior financiers, and industrial leaders — for two days of panels, ministerial roundtables, and bilateral meetings. Discussions center on accelerating efficiency progress worldwide, strengthening public–private partnerships, deploying cost-effective technologies across buildings, transport, and industry, and aligning investment with net-zero pathways. While attendance is restricted, key outputs, communiqués, and session recordings are made public afterward, extending the conference's influence across governments, investors, and efficiency practitioners globally.
