7th International Conference on Environmental Geotechnology, Recycled Waste Materials and Sustainable Engineering (EGRWSE-2026)

The 7th International Conference on Environmental Geotechnology, Recycled Waste Materials and Sustainable Engineering (EGRWSE-2026) convenes October 22–25, 2026 at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology in Surat, Gujarat, India, organized jointly by the Department of Civil Engineering at SVNIT, the Indian Geotechnical Society Surat Chapter, and the Department of Civil, Materials and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. The conference addresses current civilization challenges related to climate change through geotechnical solutions using recycled waste materials, advances in waste management innovation, sustainable engineering design practices, and implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in environmental and infrastructure projects. EGRWSE represents a biennial forum with a seven-edition history, previously convened at renowned research centers including National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (2018, 2023), University of Illinois Chicago (2019), Dokuz Eylul University Turkey (2022), and Warsaw University of Life Sciences Poland (2024).
