Accelerate is an advanced materials incubator run jointly by ExxonMobil and the National Laboratory of the Rockies, the U.S. Department of Energy national lab formerly known as NREL. Awardees receive $250,000 of non-dilutive technical assistance covering materials modeling, fabrication, characterization, and techno-economic analysis, plus access to NLR laboratory space, subject-matter experts, and the lab's investor and industry network. Focus areas are construction, transportation, energy storage, and electronics and computing. Applicants must be U.S.-registered with domestic ownership, hold a working prototype, and show 3-5 year scalability into a $1B+ market.
