AE Ventures is the venture capital platform of AE Industrial Partners, LP, a Boca Raton-based private investment firm with $9.2 billion in AUM (as of December 2025). Founded in 2019, AE Ventures invests in early-stage companies tackling critical challenges in aerospace, national security, and industrial markets. The platform operates through two funds — AEI HorizonX Venture Fund I (closed) and Fund II (targeting $250M, anchored by a $50M commitment from Boeing) — and makes concentrated, patient bets across five market verticals: Space & Connectivity, Future Mobility, Industrial Tech, Sustainability, and Enterprise Digital. The team, led by Partner and Head Brian Schettler (formerly founder of Boeing HorizonX Ventures), brings deep aerospace, defense, and government expertise and actively supports portfolio companies in navigating government procurement and achieving programs of record.
