Aspen Ideas: Climate 2026, the fifth annual solutions-focused convening hosted by the Aspen Institute in partnership with the University of Chicago's Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth, takes place July 20-22 in Chicago with programming expanded across the city. The three-day event attracts 1,500+ global leaders including policymakers, innovators, scientists, business executives, artists, and community changemakers to discuss actionable climate strategies and economic opportunities in decarbonization. Programming organized around four strategic tracks—Health and Climate, Adaptation and Resilience, Infrastructure and Economy, and Trust and Governance—addresses interconnected dimensions of climate response. Sessions explore clean energy economic opportunities, technological breakthroughs in carbon reduction, climate equity frameworks ensuring just transitions, community resilience planning, regional climate initiatives, and policy reform pathways.
