Berkeley Gateway Accelerator
Accelerator, Incubator, FellowshipActiveBerkeley Gateway Accelerator (BGA), operated by Future Frontier, LLC, is a deep tech accelerator and fund based in downtown Berkeley, California, that commercializes breakthrough science across roughly 18 deep tech sectors, with active networks spanning areas such as advanced hardware, AI compute, energy and power electronics, robotics, and biotech. The founder-centric program runs as a five-month residency with small, focused cohorts of three to four startups, providing housing, office and media lab space, and embedded support from the BGA team alongside MBA, engineering, and law Entrepreneurial Fellows from the UC Berkeley ecosystem. BGA invests $200K in cash plus $200K in services for approximately 10% ownership via a SAFE, making it a dilutive program with no separate non-dilutive grant or prize component advertised. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through an online form linked from the BGA website, with no published hard deadline. BGA also runs a separate three-week Summer Academy for high school and undergraduate students across two summer sessions (June 9–27 and July 6–24).
