Carbon13

Carbon13 is a climate-focused venture builder founded in 2021, headquartered in Cambridge, UK, with a second programme in Berlin. It runs three programmes: the Venture Builder Cambridge (an eight-month cohort programme for up to 80 individuals who are pre-idea, pre-team, or pre-investment, structured across three phases — Teaming, Validation, and Acceleration); the Venture Builder Berlin (targeting EU-resident founders, combining the Cambridge model with the DACH climate tech ecosystem); and the Venture Accelerator (for pre-seed startups working on product-market fit, go-to-market, and investment readiness). Ventures that pass the Phase 2 investment committee receive £120,000 in pre-seed funding via an Advanced Subscription Agreement (ASA) through Carbon13's SEIS Fund. Every venture must demonstrate a credible pathway to reducing or removing at least 10 million tonnes of CO₂e per annum at scale. Support includes over 400 domain experts, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, carbon experts, and investor and corporate partners. Carbon13 has invested in over 100 climate tech startups since its first investments in September 2021.
