DeepTech & Climate Fonds
InvestorActiveThe DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF) is a German government-backed venture capital fund investing in early-growth DeepTech and ClimateTech companies across Germany and Europe. Financed by the German Future Fund (Zukunftsfonds) and the ERP Special Fund, it targets companies with long development cycles and high capital requirements across four sectors: Industry (robotics, space, process automation, sensor technology), Computing (AI, quantum computing, cybersecurity), Climate (new energy, smart grids, eMobility, storage, green molecules, AgTech), and Life Science (digital health, MedTech, industrial biotech, new materials). DTCF acts as an anchor and co-investor alongside institutional investors, family offices, and VCs, always taking a minority stake of less than 25% of voting rights. Its sweet spot for initial investments is €5–10M, with the ability to deploy up to €50M per company. The fund has a planned lifetime of at least 25 years and a total investment envelope of €1 billion. As of 2026, DTCF is being integrated under the umbrella of High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) as part of a joint public-private investment platform. Founders can submit a pitch deck via the online form on the DTCF website.
