The Electric Innovation Awards, run by the Electric Innovation Initiative, is a U.S.-focused annual awards program recognizing leaders advancing full electrification across sectors including transportation, buildings, manufacturing, grid modernization, and infrastructure. Open to startups, established companies, nonprofits, public agencies, and policymakers, the program accepts submissions spanning hardware, software, policy, and community-driven efforts at any stage of development — from early pilots to widely deployed solutions. Projects involving fossil fuel components are ineligible. Awards are given across four categories: Scale Catalyst, Policy Innovation, Power For All, and Design & Discovery. Winners receive a fully covered trip to New York Climate Week in September, speaking opportunities at the Awards Ceremony and Forum before 500+ industry leaders, a professionally produced mini documentary, curated introductions to funders, executives, and elected officials, and inclusion in year-round programming including in-state innovation tours with policymakers. The program is non-dilutive and does not provide direct funding. The 2026 application window runs from April 2 to June 3, 2026, with awardees notified in early July and the Awards Ceremony held September 23, 2026.
