Energize Capital is a multi-stage investor based in Chicago, United States, backing software and technology companies that serve the climate, energy and industrial sectors. Its thesis centers on AI-enabled solutions across four areas: the energy transition, including grid technology and renewable energy integration; critical infrastructure such as data centers, utilities and energy resiliency; industrial digitization, including automation, IoT and construction technology; and decarbonization software for emissions reduction. It also invests in cybersecurity for the digital infrastructure behind these sectors. Its Ventures strategy targets Series A to Series C companies with checks of $10M to $30M and a stated preference to lead rounds, drawing on Ventures Fund III, which closed at $430M in June 2025. A separate Endurance strategy makes control and minority investments in mature, profitable companies with enterprise values of $50M to $500M. Portfolio companies can use the firm's EDGE platform for operational and commercial support.
