EQT Ventures

EQT Ventures is a venture capital fund based in Stockholm, Sweden, that invests in technology companies in Europe and North America and helps them expand between the two markets. It backs founder-led companies using technology to address large societal problems, with sector interests in climate tech, energy, food tech, deep tech, data and IT infrastructure, software, fintech and the creator economy. The firm looks for companies with the potential to become category leaders and reach scale regardless of the economic cycle. It invests from early stage through growth rounds, usually taking a lead role, with initial investments of roughly €1M to €50M; its third fund, EQT Ventures III, closed at €1.1B in November 2022. Portfolio companies get hands-on help from an in-house team of former founders and operators, including support for European companies scaling into the United States and vice versa. The firm also uses its own AI-based sourcing platform, Motherbrain, to identify companies early.
