Forward.One

FORWARD.one is a Netherlands-based venture capital firm founded in 2017, focused exclusively on early-stage European industrial technology. The firm invests across robotics, semiconductors, quantum computing, dual-use, and energy, targeting founders in the Benelux, DACH, and Nordic regions. Initial check sizes range from €1–4 million, with up to €30 million in follow-on capital reserved for top-performing portfolio companies. FORWARD.one launched Fund III in late 2024, targeting €200 million (hard cap €250 million), following a €145 million Fund II (2021) and a Fund I that achieved a reported 41% net IRR and 2x DPI. The firm has made over 40 investments to date, with notable exits including Sensorfact (acquired by ABB) and Mayht (acquired by Sonos). FORWARD.one plans to back 25–30 companies from Fund III over the next three to four years, with a strong emphasis on commercialization speed and execution over research-stage concepts.
