Gliding Ant Ventures

Gliding Ant Ventures is a deep tech venture studio founded in 2024 and based in Washington State, USA. It co-builds frontier, climate, and deep tech companies alongside scientists, engineers, PhD researchers, and first-time founders — from initial idea through first funding. Its Venture Studio arm acts as a strategic co-founder, providing market validation, team-building, and capital access support (including SBIR/STTR grants and pre-seed rounds). Beyond company building, it offers three founder programs: the SBIR Academy (a competitive, rolling-admission program coaching founders through federal grant applications, with a recommended start of at least 8 weeks before a deadline); the Fundraising Personal Trainer (a modular program with video courses and one-on-one coaching to prepare founders for investor pitches); and Mastermind Groups (curated peer groups for deep tech founders). The firm focuses exclusively on deep tech and R&D-intensive companies, with particular emphasis on those addressing major climate challenges. Partners are Virginia Emery (ex-CEO of Beta Hatch) and Jared Silvia (ex-co-founder of BlueDot Photonics).
