ICWEEM 2026 – International Conference on Water, Energy and Environmental Management

The International Conference on Water, Energy and Environmental Management convenes researchers, engineers, policy makers, utility operators, and sustainability professionals August 9–10, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria, advancing integrated water-energy-environment nexus solutions across Africa and globally. The conference brings together 400+ attendees from academic institutions, government agencies, water utilities, energy companies, development organizations, and technology providers to present research on water resource optimization, renewable energy integration with water systems, environmental impact mitigation, wastewater treatment and water reuse, water-energy efficiency in agriculture and industry, transboundary water governance, and climate adaptation. Thematic sessions address groundwater sustainability and management, flood and drought resilience and early warning, hydropower and pumped-storage hydroelectricity viability, water infrastructure financing mechanisms, and technology transfer for developing economies. ICWEEM 2026 establishes Lagos as a convening point for South-South knowledge exchange on sustainable water and energy futures across the Global South.
