Impact Shakers

Impact Shakers is a Brussels, Belgium–based impact investor operating a venture-accelerator model that backs diverse-led, pre-seed and seed-stage European startups (including the UK) building in climate tech, impact infrastructure, and inclusion tech. Founded in 2018 by Yonca Braeckman, the firm deploys capital through Impact Shakers Ventures I, a €20M fund launched in April 2024 and anchored by Belgian family office Victrix. Each year, 6–8 startups are selected for an initial €250K investment (€150K in equity via SAFE or direct equity, plus €40K-equivalent in structured support) and join a six-month impact acceleration programme covering CFO services, GTM strategy, impact/ESG, and founder coaching; follow-on investments of up to €1.5M are available. Eligible founders are headquartered in Europe (incl. UK), have raised under €2M, and include at least one underrepresented founder (women, people of colour, differently-abled, migration background, or LGBTQIA+) with significant shareholding. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the Impact Shakers "Get on the Radar" platform, with feedback provided within four weeks.
