InvestorActiveInnovationQuarter is a publicly funded, non-profit regional economic development agency and lifecycle venture capital investor based in Zuid-Holland (the greater Rotterdam–The Hague area), the Netherlands. With approximately €300 million in funds under management across four vehicles—IQCapital (€143M), UNIIQ (€50M), ENERGIIQ (€35M), and the Energy Transition Fund Rotterdam (€100M)—it invests in startups and scale-ups from proof-of-concept through growth stage. Check sizes range from €350K (UNIIQ convertible loans) up to €10M (Energy Transition Fund), using equity, subordinated loans, convertible loans, and vendor leases. Target sectors include deeptech, life sciences & health, high-tech, digital technology, cybersecurity, aerospace, maritime, energy transition, circular economy, and horticulture. Companies must generally be located in or have impact in the Zuid-Holland region. InnovationQuarter invests as a minority shareholder, typically alongside private co-investors, and has funded over 120 companies to date.
