Launch Academy (ORE Catapult)
Accelerator, Incubator, FellowshipActiveLaunch Academy is a one-year accelerator operated by the UK government-funded Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult for early-stage UK SMEs targeting the offshore wind supply chain, including companies transferring technology in from adjacent sectors. Ten companies per cohort receive technology development support, access to ORE Catapult's test and validation facilities and engineering staff, business growth and professional services support, and direct exposure to the sponsoring operators who set each year's innovation challenges. Recent challenge areas have covered sensing and inspection, lifting and transport, and construction acceleration. Support is in-kind rather than a cash investment.
