Lifeline Ventures
InvestorActiveLifeline Ventures is a Helsinki-based, sector-agnostic early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2009 by serial entrepreneurs, investing at the pre-seed and seed stages with capacity to follow on through later growth rounds. The firm was the first institutional backer of nearly every Finnish unicorn—including Supercell, Wolt, Oura, ICEYE, and Aiven—and maintains an active deep tech portfolio spanning space (ICEYE), climate and energy (Solar Foods, Carbo Culture, Illutherm), quantum and computing (Arctic Instruments, Vaire), and unmanned systems (Kova Labs). Historical initial check sizes have ranged from approximately €150K to €2M, though Fund VI reserves significantly more capital for follow-on participation. While roughly 95% of investments target Finnish startups, the firm also backs founders across Europe and occasionally in the UK, Germany, France, and the US. In October 2025, Lifeline closed Fund VI at €400M (~$470M)—Finland's largest VC fund to date. The firm has no formal application process; founders are invited to email their pitch directly to firstname@lifelineventures.com.
