Project Ventures

Project Ventures is a London-based early-stage venture firm in the United Kingdom, founded and run by solo general partner Shahryar Barati, an Imperial College London alumnus, that backs founders from the Imperial community and its connected ecosystems. The firm operates independently of Imperial College. Its thesis sits at the intersection of deep tech and AI, where frontier science, engineering and artificial intelligence combine to build intelligent systems that bridge the digital and physical worlds. It backs teams building defensible technologies across both hardware and software, and looks for companies grounded in scientific breakthroughs and proprietary intellectual property. Project Ventures invests at pre-seed and seed. In September 2026 it began raising its debut fund, which has made its first investments.
