Resilience Week 2026

Resilience Week 2026, held September 21–23 at the Gaylord National Harbor in Washington, D.C., is a major conference and expo centering on climate adaptation and community resilience, convening emergency managers, city planners, municipal leaders, utility operators, and community organizations to collaborate on preparing for and adapting to accelerating climate impacts including flooding, heatwaves, droughts, wildfires, and compound hazards. The program features 500+ attendees and 100+ exhibitors demonstrating resilience technologies and strategies including microgrids, nature-based flood defenses, early-warning systems, community-based adaptation projects, and resilience financing mechanisms such as green bonds and dedicated resilience funds. Sessions address building social cohesion and equity in adaptation planning, integrating nature-based solutions with gray infrastructure, scaling and sustaining municipal resilience programs, and connecting local adaptation efforts to regional climate security strategies and national climate leadership initiatives.
