Silicon Roundabout Ventures is a London-based, community-driven venture capital firm investing in European deep tech startups at the pre-seed and seed stages. Founded as a £5 million SuperAngel fund backed by Molten Ventures, the firm writes first cheques of £150–200K, typically acquiring 1–3% of a company. The firm targets sectors including computing, advanced manufacturing, climate technology, cybersecurity, nano technology, and space technology across Europe. It leverages a community of 15,000 entrepreneurs and engineers, through which the team has previously attracted and helped launch deep tech startups now valued at over £6 billion. Portfolio companies span the UK, US, and Latvia, with notable investments in areas such as quantum computing, hyperloop transportation, and defence robotics. Fund I has made approximately 20 investments and is now closed to LPs, with Fund II currently launching.
