Swisscom Ventures

Swisscom Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Swisscom AG, Switzerland's leading telecom and ICT provider. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Zurich, it advises investment funds on behalf of Swisscom and institutional investors, taking minority stakes in Swiss and international startups. The firm invests in 8–10 new companies per year for a total annual volume of $50–100M, with a sweet spot from Seed to Series C and initial ticket sizes of $2M–$10M (Seed: $1–2M; Series A: $2–10M; Series B: $5–20M; Series C: $10–20M), plus reserves for follow-on rounds. It focuses particularly on Swiss university spin-offs and operates from offices in Zurich, Bern, Lausanne, and Palo Alto. Core investment sectors include AI, deep tech, cybersecurity, cloud/ICT infrastructure, robotics, sustainability, fintech, and enterprise solutions. As a value-add investor, Swisscom Ventures provides portfolio companies with access to Swisscom's distribution channels, enterprise client base (~3,000 enterprise and 100,000+ SMB clients in Switzerland and Italy), technical infrastructure, and an in-house business development team. The team frequently takes board seats and leads rounds in Switzerland while co-investing on international deals.
