TGFS – Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen

TGFS (Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen) is a public-private venture capital fund and the leading early-stage investor in the German federal state of Saxony. First launched in 2008 by the Free State of Saxony (including ERDF funds) and Saxon financial institutions, it is currently in its third fund generation with a total volume of €241.2m. TGFS provides direct equity investments of €0.2m–€5m per company, targeting knowledge-based and technology-oriented start-ups headquartered or operating in Saxony. Focus sectors include ICT (software, Industry 4.0, IoT, big data), semiconductor and microsystems technology, medical technology, electronics, sensor technology, new materials, and cleantech.
