VertueLab is a nonprofit that supports early-stage climate tech entrepreneurs, exclusively from the Pacific Northwest, through direct program-related investments and accelerator programs. Originally founded in 2007 as Oregon BEST in partnership with Portland State University, the organization has invested in 14 companies that have attracted $23.4M in follow-on funding, with 50% of its current portfolio led by women and/or minorities. Its Climate Impact Fund focuses on companies with the potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
