13th International Conference on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Crisis (ESCC 2026)

The 13th International Conference on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Crisis (ESCC 2026) convenes August 24–28, 2026 in Rethymno, Crete, Greece, hosted by the University of Thessaly. The conference brings together academics, engineers, data scientists, and policy researchers working at the interface of energy systems, sustainability science, and climate-change response. Program themes span renewable energy technologies, energy markets and decarbonization strategies, sustainable transport, water–energy–food nexus issues, climate adaptation and mitigation policy, and computational and optimization methods applied to energy and environmental problems. The multi-day schedule includes plenary keynotes, specialized technical sessions, student presentations, and networking events, complemented by opportunities to experience the Venetian old town, beaches, and mountain landscapes of Rethymno. Accepted contributions are considered for publication in affiliated peer-reviewed proceedings and journals linked to the ESCC series.
