2026 GEO Symposium and the 21st GEO Plenary
ConferenceActiveThe 2026 GEO Symposium and 21st GEO Plenary take place May 26–28, 2026 at the World Meteorological Organization headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, organized by the Group on Earth Observations under the theme "Investing in Earth Intelligence for a Resilient Future." The Symposium (May 26–27) showcases cutting-edge Earth-observation innovations, fosters new partnerships and investments, and advances implementation of the GEO Work Programme across climate, biodiversity, disaster risk, water, food security, urban resilience, and sustainable-development applications. The 21st GEO Plenary (May 28) is the governing body's decision-making meeting, advancing discussions and catalyzing commitments on the implementation of GEO's Post-2025 Strategy. Participants include national governments, space agencies, research institutions, UN and intergovernmental organizations, private-sector innovators, and development partners. Open Symposium and Plenary sessions are live-streamed, with in-person registration required for non-delegates.
