ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund
InvestorActiveThe ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund (SIF) is one of the largest private impact funds in the Netherlands, with a EUR 500 million commitment funded and managed exclusively by ABN AMRO Bank. It invests through direct equity in North-Western European companies operating in three key transition sectors: energy transition, the built environment, and sustainable consumption. The fund targets companies with revenues above EUR 2 million, a path to cash-flow positivity within three years, and more than 50% of revenue derived from a relevant transition activity. Initial ticket sizes range from EUR 5 million to EUR 30 million; the fund takes majority or minority (relevant) stakes and has no hard investment horizon. SIF is part of ABN AMRO Corporate Investments, which aims to allocate up to EUR 1 billion by 2030 through direct equity, fund investments, and hybrid debt. The fund targets both young growth companies and more mature impact scale-ups, and actively supports portfolio companies through M&A, refinancing, and strategic planning.
