ACCEL is a Greentown Labs program launched in partnership with Browning the Green Space specifically supporting climatetech startups led by BIPOC and underrepresented founders, addressing structural inequities in cleantech access to funding and networks. Selected founding teams receive $25,000 in non-dilutive grant funding plus access to Greentown Labs membership, a curated curriculum, extensive mentorship from industry experts, and networking connections. In its third year, the program received over 140 applications and selected eight cutting-edge startups developing solutions in areas like sustainable ammonia production, bioplastics, and advanced materials.
