GrantActiveThe ARPA-E SCALEUP program helps previously funded ARPA-E technologies bridge the gap between lab-scale proof of concept and commercial deployment. Only companies or teams that have received prior ARPA-E awards are eligible, making this a follow-on funding pathway for technologies that have already demonstrated feasibility. Individual project awards have ranged from $5M to $20M+, with total cohort funding often exceeding $60M. The program focuses on translating bench-scale performance into real-world commercial viability for clean energy technologies. The SCALEUP Ready solicitation (DE-FOA-0003467) is continuously open on ARPA-E eXCHANGE rather than running fixed cycles.
