Asterion Ventures

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Paris, France, Asterion Ventures is a community-driven venture capital firm focused exclusively on impact and climate tech startups. The firm invests €500K to €2M as lead investor at the pre-seed and seed stages on rounds of up to €5M, with follow-on participation through Series A and B. Asterion is currently raising a new €100M fund and recently opened an office in Amsterdam to expand its European reach into the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. The fund targets five core sectors: energy transition, food and agriculture, biodiversity and sustainability infrastructure, resources and circularity, and social impact. Its investor base includes over 900 angel investors—among them founders of firms like Back Market, BlaBlaCar, and Too Good To Go—who provide operational expertise alongside capital through a deal-by-deal SPV structure. Asterion operates with no predetermined exit timeline and has made over 30 investments to date, selecting roughly one startup out of every 200 reviewed.
