Canada Growth Fund
InvestorActiveCanada Growth Fund (CGF) is a C$15 billion independent investment fund established in December 2022 as a subsidiary of Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV), operating at arm's length from the Government of Canada. CGF's mandate is to catalyze private sector investment in Canadian businesses and projects to grow Canada's economy while reducing emissions. It focuses on three verticals: (1) Projects — emissions-reduction projects using technologies proven in pilots but not yet widely adopted, including CCS, electrification, nuclear, hydrogen, and biofuels; (2) Clean Technology — scaling SMEs and companies at the demonstration or commercialization stage; and (3) Low-Carbon Supply Chains — critical minerals, adjacent infrastructure, and natural resource value chains. CGF deploys capital via equity, hybrid instruments, debt, contracts for difference (CfDs), and offtake contracts. Investment opportunities are submitted via the contact page; CGF sources deals through active outreach and inbound proposals, with a multi-phase due diligence and IRIC approval process. CGF targets capital preservation on a portfolio basis to allow reinvestment over the long term.
