InvestorActiveCapagro is an independent venture capital management company approved by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), based in Paris, France. Founded in 2014, it describes itself as the first European independent VC fund dedicated to AgTech and FoodTech. Its first fund (Capagro I) closed with €124M and ran from 2014 to 2022, backing 13 French and European startups across robotics, agricultural equipment, alternative proteins, specialty ingredients, and e-commerce. In September 2022, Capagro launched its second fund (Capagro II), targeting €200M, with anchor investors including Bpifrance, Crédit Agricole, Avril Group, Bel Group, LSDH, Terrena, and Euralis. Capagro II targets early-growth AgriFood Tech companies with significant revenues seeking commercial expansion, investing €2M–€6M initially (up to €10M per company) across approximately 15 predominantly European companies.
