Cerberus Ventures is an early-stage venture capital investor and the venture arm of Cerberus Capital Management, the New York–based alternative asset manager (~$60–65B AUM) founded in 1992. Investing through its inaugural vehicle, Cerberus Venture One, the firm deploys capital from seed to Series B in startups mainly based in North America and Europe, with a strategy centered on real-world hardware assets spanning defense and national security, AI, quantum computing, supply chain, and fusion energy. It reached a first close of roughly $74.7 million on that debut fund in 2025. Notable investments include leading a $25 million Series A for quantum infrastructure company Maybell Quantum, alongside Lightsynq. The venture team is led by Chris Darby, Global Head of Venture Investments. Founders building dual-use, deep tech, and infrastructure hardware with national-security relevance are the clearest fit. Typical check size is not publicly disclosed.
