The Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience in Agriculture conference was held March 17–18, 2025, at the IFMR Graduate School of Business, Krea University, in India, through collaboration with the Institute for New Economic Thinking and Young Scholars Initiative specializing in economics and social change. The three-day academic conference convened leading scholars, agricultural researchers, policy specialists, and development practitioners to collaboratively explore climate-smart agriculture practices, on-farm adaptation and mitigation strategies, and enabling policy frameworks that enhance adaptive capacity of South Asia's diverse agrarian sectors facing accelerating climate variability and extreme weather patterns. Substantive topics addressed in the conference included climate-resilient crop development and varieties, precision irrigation technologies, soil health management innovation, biotechnological advances, artificial intelligence-driven agricultural advisory systems, and institutional mechanisms for supporting smallholder farmers in adapting to climate impacts while sustaining agricultural productivity.
