Deviation Capital

Deviation Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm that launched in May 2026 as an independent spinout of Two Sigma Ventures, bringing approximately $2B in AUM and an active portfolio of 79 companies under its management. The firm invests at Seed and Series A in technical founders applying data science and advanced computing to build enduring companies across consumer, enterprise, and life sciences sectors. Its first core fund as an independent entity is Deviation V, for which it is seeking $300M. The firm maintains a formal Technical Expert Council giving it ongoing access to senior Two Sigma talent across data science, AI, engineering, and applied research for sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support. Deviation has offices in New York and San Francisco and is led by founding partners Colin Beirne, Dusan Perovic, Sidney Costabile, and Jonathan Golden (formerly of NEA). Portfolio companies include WHOOP, Etched, Kalshi, Xaira, Gameto, Remote, Freeform, Bedrock Robotics, and Zeromatter.
