DHS SBIR Program
GrantActiveThe Department of Homeland Security SBIR program awards competitive contracts to small businesses developing innovative solutions for homeland security challenges including cybersecurity, border security, emergency response, and critical infrastructure protection. Phase I provides up to $175,000 over five months for feasibility research, with Phase III offering unlimited funding from private or non-SBIR government sources for commercialization. The program is equity-free and has invested $415 million in 528 small businesses across 265 mission challenges since its inception. DHS also offers a Phase 0 outreach component with webinars, training, and one-on-one support for new applicants.
