Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF)

Ireland’s Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund is a challenge-based fund for collaborative industrial research and experimental development that carries disruptive technologies through to commercial deployment, spanning AI, advanced manufacturing, medtech and adjacent deep tech. Call 8 makes EUR 40M available, with a minimum funding request of EUR 1.5M per project over up to three years; the average award in previous calls was roughly EUR 4M. Eligibility requires an Ireland-based consortium of three or more partners including at least one SME and one other enterprise, all clients of Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland or Udaras na Gaeltachta, or eligible research-performing organisations; SME partners must provide matched funding and large companies must fund 60 percent of project costs. Call 8 opens 1 October 2026 and closes 3 February 2027, and a mandatory pre-eligibility check must be completed before submission.
