GA Research Alliance
GrantActiveThe Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) supports university researchers across Georgia in commercializing their technologies through a tiered funding program: Phase 1 grants up to $50,000, Phase 2 grants of $100,000 (requiring matching funds), and Phase 3 startup-friendly loans of up to $250,000 for launched companies. Eligible projects must include IP owned by a Georgia university and focus on creating a Georgia-based startup, with more than 260 industry advisors helping evaluate and mentor funded teams. The GRA Venture Fund also makes direct equity investments of $200K-$1M in high-potential research-based startups. Notably, 88% of startups receiving GRA investment remain in business after four years, well above the national average.
