Accelerator, Incubator, FellowshipActiveForge is a hardware accelerator operated by TSUCREA under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's TIB CATAPULT programme, open to both Japanese and international startups. The structure is a three-month Phase 1 followed by an eight-month Phase 2, providing up to JPY 2,000,000 in co-funded prototyping vouchers, fabrication lab access covering 3D printing, machining centres and injection moulding, manufacturing and compliance masterclasses, corporate proof-of-concept pathways, investor introductions and visa support. Applicants need a working hardware prototype or MVP, a technical founder accountable for product design, and willingness to share CAD and BOM files. The programme takes no equity and charges no fees.
