GM Ventures

GM Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of General Motors, based in Michigan, United States, and invests in startups that support GM's goal of zero emissions, zero crashes and zero congestion. Its energy focus covers batteries, motors, magnets, power electronics, charging and energy storage, and its manufacturing and robotics focus covers smart factories, simulation, material handling, collaborative robotics and physical AI. It also invests in connected vehicle hardware and software, including driver assistance, human-machine interfaces and advanced materials for efficiency, and in enterprise tools for supply chains, new business models and AI. It looks for companies whose technology GM can adopt, making GM a potential customer as well as an investor. GM Ventures takes lead roles in many of its rounds and also co-invests. Portfolio companies get access to GM's technical and business resources to improve, expand and scale their technology, including work with GM teams on commercialization in transportation.
