Illusian is a founder-led family office and co-investment vehicle based in Helsinki, Finland, operated by founders and operators who have built companies including Supercell, Zalando, Wolt, Aiven, Pigment, Smartly, and Supermetrics. The firm invests its own capital exclusively — no external LP money — and participates only as a co-investor alongside leading venture funds, explicitly positioning itself as non-competitive with VCs. It backs startups and scale-ups from pre-seed through growth stage across deep tech, AI, sustainability, and other sectors. Portfolio companies include DeepL, n8n, Linear, Solugen, Bluefors, and Gameto, among others. Beyond capital, Illusian offers founders access to a pan-European operator network, warm introductions, and hands-on support. The firm also runs a separate philanthropy arm.
