Innosuisse Innovation Projects with Implementation Partner

Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, co-funds science-based innovation projects developing new products, services or processes across all thematic areas including energy and environment, engineering, ICT and life sciences, as well as interdisciplinary work. Eligibility is explicitly Swiss on both sides: the implementation partner - an SME, large company, start-up, public body or non-profit - must create added value in Switzerland and must partner with an eligible Swiss research institution, and the two must be independent in financing and personnel. The implementation partner bears 40-60% of total project costs and pays the research partner a cash contribution of at least 5% of total project costs, with Innosuisse covering the remainder of eligible material and personnel costs. There is no annual deadline: applications are decided at fixed Innovation Council meetings per thematic area and must be submitted at least six weeks ahead, with decisions typically in six to eight weeks.
