InvestorActiveMaia Ventures is a Milan-based early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2024 by David Bassani and Andrea Galassi, focused exclusively on AgriFoodTech. The firm launched its first fund at €55 million (Fund I), targeting 20–25 portfolio companies with initial ticket sizes of €0.5–€1.5 million, primarily at the seed stage with some pre-seed and Series A activity. The fund is structured as an Article 8 SFDR vehicle and is managed by Praesidium S.A. (Luxembourg) and advised by Maia Advisors SRL. LPs include the European Investment Fund (EIF), CDP Venture Capital Sgr, Teseo Capital sicav-sif, Cereal Docks (via Grey Silo Ventures), and Andriani. The team comprises former founders, scientists, and industry operators, supported by a technical advisory board drawn from leading agrifood universities and corporates.
