ONR Long Range Broad Agency Announcement

The Office of Naval Research Long Range BAA is a standing omnibus solicitation for basic, applied and advanced research supporting Navy and Marine Corps science and technology, spanning ocean and atmospheric sciences, undersea and expeditionary warfare, power and energy, materials, autonomy, AI and electronics. Awards are made as grants, cooperative agreements, procurement contracts or Other Transaction Agreements, with award size and period of performance varying by technology area and technical approach rather than a fixed ceiling. Responsible sources from academia, industry and the wider research community worldwide may submit; FFRDCs, Navy laboratories and other DoD laboratories are excluded from direct submission. White papers and full proposals may be submitted at any time against specific BAA Calls until the stated cutoff, and ONR reissues the announcement annually, so the current cycle accepts full proposals through 30 September 2026.
