PSV Hafnium

PSV Hafnium is Denmark's first early-stage venture fund dedicated exclusively to engineering and science-based deep tech, operating as a spin-out fund from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and physically located on the DTU campus in Kongens Lyngby. The fund closed its inaugural vehicle at €60M in December 2025, oversubscribed against an original target, with a hard cap of €80M. It targets approximately 25 Nordic university spinouts and research-intensive startups, leading initial rounds of €100K–€1M and reserving roughly two-thirds of capital for follow-on investments through early commercialisation. Investment areas include industrial biotech, clean energy, advanced materials, future of compute (including quantum), new space, health tech, and science-based AI. LPs include the European Investment Fund (EIF), EIFO (Denmark's Export and Investment Fund), PSV Foundry, Nordea-fonden, the Danish Society of Engineers, and over 40 deep-tech-focused LPs. The fund is committed to investing at least 65% in EIF-defined Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability. Founders can pitch via the PSV website.
