Relae (formerly Carbon Direct) is a strategic decarbonization and energy advisory firm founded in 2020 and headquartered in New York City, with a European office in London. It advises corporations, financial institutions, governments, and other institutions on power procurement and clean firm power, decarbonization strategy and analytics, environmental markets (carbon credits, environmental attribute certificates), and natural capital/biodiversity risk. Its team of scientists, engineers, and policy and finance experts has worked with more than 150 clients across six continents, including large hyperscalers, airlines, manufacturers, and financial institutions, and has conducted over 900 carbon removal and reduction project diligences. The firm also operates an affiliated asset manager, Carbon Direct Capital. Relae does not provide capital directly to companies; it is a paid advisory/consulting service rather than an investor, accelerator, or grant program.
