Susa Ventures is a San Francisco-based seed-stage venture capital firm founded in 2013. The firm invests $500K–$5M at the pre-seed and seed stage, from pre-idea through early product-market fit, and is sector-agnostic with a primary focus on software and AI. Each partner makes just 2–3 investments per year, and the firm takes a founder-first approach — it has never taken a board seat or voted a founder out of their company. Fund V, a $175M vehicle announced in March 2025, is the firm's fifth seed fund. Notable portfolio companies include Robinhood, Flexport, and Andela. The firm manages capital from US-based institutions including non-profit foundations, education endowments, and healthcare providers.
