VentureUs

VentureUs is an expert-guided, member-powered angel investment group focused on the Pacific Northwest, continuing the collaborative investing tradition of its predecessor, the SeaChange Fund. It makes seed and early-stage investments in growth-oriented businesses across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia, and is industry-agnostic in its thesis. Investments are led by an annual pooled fund, with optional individual member sidecar checks available to founders who receive a term sheet. The group coordinates 40+ accredited investor-members; a subset forms an Investment Board that screens, conducts diligence, and makes final investment decisions, while any member may participate in diligence. The application process runs through Dealum and involves an initial screening discussion, a diligence phase (including a 90-minute kickoff, tech diligence, and customer calls), and an in-person pitch to the full membership. Check sizes are $200,000 or more. VentureUs also provides pre- and post-investment operational support and emphasizes education and hands-on experience for its investor members.
