InvestorActiveVsquared Ventures is a Munich-based early-stage deep tech venture capital firm investing across Europe. Founded in 2020, the firm backs founders building companies grounded in scientific and engineering breakthroughs across six thematic areas: AI and next-generation software, energy transition, new computing and sensing, new space, robotics and manufacturing, and tech-bio. Its second fund, Vsquared II, closed oversubscribed at €214 million in June 2024—described as the largest European early-stage deep tech fund to date—bringing total AUM to approximately €450 million. The fund targets around 25 companies with ticket sizes of €500K–€5M, with two-thirds reserved for follow-on investments. LPs include the European Investment Fund, KfW Capital, NATO Innovation Fund, Novo Holdings, and Lombard Odier Investment Managers. Portfolio companies include Isar Aerospace, IQM Quantum, Neura Robotics, Inbrain Neuroelectronics, and The Exploration Company. The firm is supported by InnovFin Equity under the EU Horizon 2020 programme.
