The Horizon Europe co-funded Clean Energy Transition Partnership pools national and regional energy research budgets into a single transnational call structured as eleven modules, covering energy system resilience and flexibility, advanced renewables, industrial carbon management, hydrogen and renewable fuels, stationary batteries, heating and cooling, regional and industrial energy systems, and clean energy in the built environment. The call is two-stage: pre-proposals opened 8 June 2026 and close 8 October 2026 at 14:00 CEST, invited full proposals run 8 January to 11 March 2027, decisions land 28 June 2027 and projects start 1 September 2027. Eligibility is layered, requiring a multi-country consortium plus module-specific criteria, and each participating national or regional agency applies its own rules, so applicants must be established in a participating country and check that agency annex before applying. SMEs, large companies and research organisations are all eligible in principle, but money flows from each partner’s own national funder rather than from Brussels.
